Dear Poet 2020

Engage directly with award-winning poets as part of National Poetry Month.

Every National Poetry Month the Academy of American Poets presents Dear Poet, a multimedia education project that invites young people in grades five through twelve to write letters in response to poems written and read by award-winning poets.

It’s time to vote for your favorite Nutmeg Nominees!

Please only vote once per book list, you do not have to read every book on every list in order to vote. Voting ends on April 28, 2020.

We have a large variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, graphic novels, magazines, games, and audio books for young adults. We also offer YA downloadable ebooks and audiobooks. The teen materials are located on  the upper level of JTL. Six computer stations with Internet access and MS Office software are available at the library in addition to multiple study areas on both levels.
