Equinox and the Arts


Equinox and the Arts is an annual art show, sponsored by the Friends of Jonathan Trumbull Library, to celebrate the arrival of spring and to showcase local artists.

Adult artwork accepted in all mediums, oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, sculpture, and photography. Work must be framed (matted photographs will be
accepted), and suitable for display. A limit of one entry per artist will be accepted at the discretion of the committee. If possible, please provide an easel or display stand.

Display Dates: March 17– April 12.
All accepted work will be on display following the reception, during regular library hours. Artists must pick up their work on Saturday, April 14, between 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

All work must be brought to the library and registration forms completed on Wednesday-March 7, Thursday-March 8 or Saturday, March 10 during regular library hours. No work accepted after
March 10. Jonathan Trumbull Library and the Friends of Jonathan Trumbull Library will not be responsible for submitted artwork and there will be no direct sales during this show.

The Friends of Jonathan Trumbull Library will host a reception for artists and their guests on Friday evening, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Library. For information, call 642-7763.
