For Kids

Welcome to Jonathan Trumbull Library’s Youth Services Department. We offer a wide range of books, audio books, DVDs, music CDs, kits, and more for children and their families.

All of our children’s programs are online or to-go until further notice.
Visit our calendar of events for program dates, times, and links.

-NEW- Playwork Kits for Small Hands
Designed for our classic Read, Rock & Rhyme crowd, pick up simple Montessori-inspired kits that invite your young children to explore colors, rhymes, household objects, fine motor skills, and the joy of the creative process. These projects welcome them with an invitation to open-ended play. Read a surprise sampling of board books and play with noise makers included in the circulating take-home bags; return those items, but keep the crafts and materials you make together! #playisenough  Target age group: birth – 4 years old
