Celebrate Children’s Book Week, May 5-11!

Children’s Book Week is a national week-long event that celebrates books for young readers. 2025 is the 106th anniversary of this beloved program, and this year’s event slogan is An Ocean of Stories. We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Join us for one of these special events:

Drop in all week, May 5th - 10th:

  • Create art for our stairwell gallery!

  • Browse special ocean themed book displays.

  • Ocean themed coloring sheets and mini zine!

  • Ocean themed scavenger hunt!

  • Read to Marcel, the turtle.

  • Choose a special themed bookmark.

Monday, May 5 at 11am

  • Come build a boat at Story Hour!

Wednesday, May 7 at 11am

  • Join Read, Rock & Rhyme outside.

Friday, May 9

  • at 3:30 pm: Join MG, Bog Myrtle Book & Art.

  • at 4pm: Teens, play tabletop games!

Saturday, May 10 at 11am

  • Play at Occ-u-Playgroup outside.
