Theater and Poetry Workshop

Theater workshop for adults who work with youth.

Director Carol Macy is a teaching artist and educator who has been working in the field of theater-in-education for over four decades throughout the country. Recently, Carol was awarded a grant from the CT Office of the Arts to demonstrate to educators the invaluable role that theater can play in educating the whole child. Celebrate National Poetry Month by joining Carol for this workshop for anyone who works with young people (Pre-K - 12th grade.) This workshop focuses on the dramatization of poetry. We'll view and discuss video clips of four-year-old students acting out haiku and fifth graders dramatizing poetry written by children who lived through Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
