Dungeons and Dragons: For Newbies
For new players who are interested in learning and playing, here is a list of expectations on how to act and what to bring:
Bring your own character sheet (filled out completely), dice, and a pencil. A digital character works as well.
Get in touch with rules by reading the books or watching the videos. We mostly play with 2014 rules.
A Player’s Handbook is recommended.
Take the sessions, characters, and story seriously, but still have fun.
Don’t be a murder hobo (Murder hobo is when someone wants to kill everything. Don’t do that.)
Your actions have consequences.
Focus on the sessions and story for a more comprehensive and fun experience.
If you make a character, they can die.
Be creative with your actions, not stupid with them.
Feel free to ask the players or Dungeon Master a question.
Missing sessions is okay; the players or DM (Dungeon Master) are able to provide a summary.
Don’t me mean, rude, or derogatory to our players or DM.
In session, feel free to speak up if you’re feeling left out. Being quiet is alright, but participation is key.
Info for seasoned layers
